Service Ambassadors are an integral part of Serve UGA through leading intentional service experiences and serving as resources for their peers in order to make a positive, sustainable impact on campus and in the community. Service Ambassadors:
- Meet weekly on Thursdays at 5 pm and serve year-long terms beginning in January and running through November
- Lead the Serve Athens initiative
- Participate in committees to help plan our large scale service events, including Dawg Day of Service, Interfaith Day of Service, awareness events, and events to support our member organizations
Through this year long experience, Service Ambassadors develop a community with not only Athens-Clarke County and its people but also other Service Ambassadors in which deep bonds are formed to last a life time. Moreover, ambassadors learn about engaging in intentional and critical models of service. Ambassadors get the opportunity to become a part of the community of student leaders to engage fellow peers.
